Dr Meg Yen (MBChB, FRNZCGP) grew up in Tauranga after her family moved to New Zealand from Taiwan in 1999.

She graduated from University of Otago in 2015 and worked in all 3 Auckland hospitals in a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. She worked as a GP in South Auckland for 5 years and gained her Royal NZ College of General Practitioner fellowship in 2023. She joined Birkenhead Medical Centre in 2024.

Meg has a wide range of GP skills with special interest in Women’s health, Sexual health, and Paediatrics.

Outside of medicine, Meg enjoys playing the violin or spending time outdoors playing golf.

Meg speaks Mandarin and English
